Adult Education classes are open to anyone 18 years of age or older. Special circumstances permit individuals below the age of 18 to enroll.
There are two program choices:
Daily Program: for fifth and sixth year seniors
Evening Program: for all adult students.
The Graduation requirements for the CTC Program meet the California State minimum graduation requirements in effect at the time of the student’s enrollment along with some additional academic and elective requirements. Students, who cannot graduate within two years because of credit deficiency, may be offered an alternative means to graduate as described in Education Code 51225.3. Some students may attend specifically to increase their English/Language arts and math skill to improve their employability and/or prepare them for other post-secondary education such as community college or a career college.
Most of the traditional high school requires 230 to 290 units of credit to graduate from High School. At Big Picture, we follow the minimum of 170 units of credits to receive a High School Diploma from the CTC Program.
Additional requirements for graduation are Research Project, Senior Leadership/Service Project, Graduation Portfolio, Exhibition of Learning, Personal Resume and Exit Survey.
